THE WINEMAKER

Andrée Trapet has led the Alsace estate since 2002, building on her family's deep roots in the region while embracing a philosophy centered on biodynamic farming and terroir expression. Together with the next generation, including Pierre Trapet and Louis Trapet, the family cultivates some of Alsace’s most prestigious Grand Cru vineyards, including Sonnenglanz, Schoenenbourg, Schlossberg, and Sporen. Their vineyard work focuses on preserving biodiversity and encouraging deep vine-root development, while cellar practices remain gentle and minimally interventionist. The resulting wines are known for their purity, precision, and ability to convey the unique identity of each site, combining aromatic intensity with remarkable balance and ageing potential.
