Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 'Les Frionnes' 2024 - Domaine Moingeon
THE WINE
The Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Les Frionnes" 2024 from Domaine Moingeon is a vibrant and mineral-driven Chardonnay that beautifully captures the elegance of one of Saint-Aubin's most distinguished Premier Cru vineyards. Aromas of lemon zest, white peach, ripe pear, and acacia blossom are complemented by delicate notes of toasted hazelnut, fresh brioche, and flint. On the palate, the wine is precise and energetic, with crisp acidity supporting layers of citrus and orchard fruit. A pronounced chalky minerality, derived from the vineyard's limestone-rich soils, provides tension and remarkable definition, while subtle oak ageing contributes texture and complexity without overshadowing the wine's purity. The finish is long, saline, and beautifully focused, leaving an impression of freshness, finesse, and exceptional balance. Expressive in its youth yet built to develop gracefully over the next decade, it is a superb example of Premier Cru Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune.
THE WINEMAKER
