The Gewürztraminer Riquewihr 2022 from Domaine Trapet Alsace is a beautifully balanced expression of one of Alsace's most aromatic grape varieties, crafted in a refined, dry-leaning style that emphasizes freshness and terroir over opulence. Intense aromas of rose petals, lychee, ripe apricot, candied citrus, and exotic spices are complemented by subtle notes of ginger, white pepper, and orange blossom. THE WINEMAKER

Domaine Trapet Alsace is led by Andrée Trapet, whose family roots lie deep in the vineyards surrounding Riquewihr. Together with her husband, Jean-Louis Trapet of Burgundy's renowned Domaine Trapet, she has established one of Alsace's leading biodynamic estates. Certified biodynamic, the domaine is dedicated to cultivating healthy vineyards while expressing the individuality of each site with clarity and precision. In the cellar, intervention is kept to a minimum, with gentle pressing, native yeast fermentations, restrained use of oak through traditional large foudres, and careful élevage that preserves aromatic purity and mineral expression. The resulting wines are known for their elegance, freshness, and dry, terroir-driven style, offering a contemporary interpretation of Alsace that remains deeply rooted in regional tradition.
