THE WINE 

Louis Vallet's Bourgogne Blanc 2023 is a fresh and elegant Chardonnay that highlights the purity of Burgundy's limestone-rich soils. Aromas of citrus, green apple, and white flowers lead into a vibrant palate with excellent tension and precision. The wine balances crisp acidity with a subtle roundness, creating a texture that is both refreshing and refined. A chalky mineral backbone runs throughout, bringing focus and length to the finish. THE WINEMAKER

Louis Vallet is a young Burgundian winemaker from a multi-generational family in Gevrey-Chambertin who founded Charodon in 2010 to pursue his own vision of terroir-driven wines. He combines traditional Burgundy techniques with experience gained from working internationally, including in Chile, while emphasizing organic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking. His wines are known for their purity, freshness, and transparent expression of vineyard character, balancing approachability with the ability to age gracefully.
